Claim Intimation under Health Insurance Policy

All health covers require that the policyholder must intimate a claim to the TPA or insurer. This is almost uniformly kept at 24 hours for those hospitalisations which are unplanned or emergency and 48 hours prior to getting admitted to a hospital in case of planned treatments.
